Dr Helen Freeborn

Deputy CEO, The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. Helen is currently the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, having previously worked for Royal North Shore Hospital in Medical Administration. Helen has over ten years of clinical experience working across three states and in metropolitan and regional settings, combined with Medical Advisor roles for the Northern Sydney ICT Team and eHealth NSW. From this, she has a comprehensive understanding of the systemic barriers faced by clinicians in adopting digital health solutions for their patients. As a well-regarded contemporary systems thinker, she works to ensure innovative, interoperable, human-centred digital health solutions are designed and implemented. She has a particular interest in ensuring pathology solutions meet patient needs and digital health solutions which enhance rather than detract from a clinician’s well-being.
