Dr Andrew Blanch
Dr Andrew Blanch is a senior clinician with extensive leadership experience within both clinical and digital health environments. He is currently a Clinical Director within the Office of the Chief Clinical Information Officer at eHealth Queensland whilst continuing to practice in his specialty of Paediatric Emergency Medicine at the Queensland Children's Hospital. As a senior clinical informatician he holds particular interest in the areas of Digital Safety and Quality and clinician engagement. He is a Fellow with the Australasian Institute of Digital Health and is credentialed as a Certified Health Informatician Australasia.
In his role within eHealth QLD Andrew chair’s Queensland’s state-wide Digital Health Clinical Advisory Group and is an active participant in the CSIRO Sparked Clinical Design Group.
Dr Blanch is also actively involved in medical education as a Director and Board Member of Advanced Paediatric Life Support Australia.
Prior to being appointed to his current role Andrew has had held multiple leadership roles, including being the Chief Medical Information Officer and the Chief of Critical Care for Children's Health Queensland (CHQ). Within the Clinical Informatics arena, he has been the medical lead for CHQs ieMR roll out and has also provided paediatric leadership at a state level, supporting the safe and effective implementation of integrated digital systems across Queensland.
